This department is designed to empower local communities in the agricultural supply value chain by implementing projects that are either internally or externally funded. These projects aim to stimulate rural economic growth, reduce poverty, improve livelihoods, enhance food security, and promote sustainable agriculture.
Most of the Agri Community Projects are integrated with other Del Caffe business operations. This integration makes the implementation of projects unique and comprehensive. For instance, the department develops interventions focused on supporting farmers to improve productivity, while the Business Department acts as an off-taker for the farmers’ produce. This approach ensures that projects are market-driven and sustainable.
The type and focus of project interventions and their scope are determined either by donor priorities or by problems identified through research findings that need to be addressed.
The activities of the Agri Community Project Department include Farmer Training and Capacity Building, Market Linkages Development, Community Engagement Programs, Access to Finance Facilitation, Agro-Input Access Support ,Promotion of Sustainable Farming Initiatives, Gender and Youth Inclusion Programs
Del Caffe Ltd is committed to working with organized smallholder farmers, such as farmer business groups or cooperatives that are legally registered, have well-defined and strong leadership and membership structures, and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability.
Del Caffe Ltd is open to partnering with local and international organizations in implementing Agri Community Projects that align with common goals. We also engage donors and grant-making institutions by presenting proposals developed under our unique Del Caffe models, integrating business and community development for lasting impact.
